For over 15 years, the BauGrid® system has been used as transverse reinforcement in shear walls, columns, and beams of many mid and high rise concrete structures in the United States.
Since September 2005, BauGrid® has been manufactured and distributed by "Delta Building Systems", under an exclusive license agreement with BauTech, Inc.
Delta Building Systems (DBS) is currently supplying BauGrid® for the entire core walls, frame columns, and beams of the 60-story Millennium Tower in San Francisco. DBS is also supplying to (2) 18-story and (1) 12-story concrete structures in San Diego where BauGrid® is used in all the shear walls.
For its 60-Story San Francisco project, DBS has produced over 100,000 grids (approx. 4,500,000 lbs.) in more than 120 different patterns!
The company’s founders have over 50 years of experience in design, engineering, construction, manufacturing, and international trade.  DBS has custom designed and invested in all of its equipments, utilizing the latest technology available. It currently operates 6 - 250KVA welding systems in Asia, with an annual capacity of over 4,000 tons. This capacity is being increased to about 8,000 tons before the end of 2007. Local manufacturing plans are also in progress with an anticipated production start in San Diego, California before the end of 2007. DBS is capable of manufacturing BauGrid® with 3/8", 1/2", 5/8" & 3/4" diameter ASTM A82 high strength cold-drawn steel wire (fy = 75ksi).
The BauGrid® is manufactured in accordance with ASTM A185 and BauTech’s Quality Control Manual to within 1/8" (3mm) tolerance. Our facility is audited by Smith-Emery Laboratories of Los Angeles, on a quarterly basis. We have met or exceeded all of the requirements set out by BauTech and ICC-ES. The factory also meets ISO standards for quality and safety.
